At the Acupuncture Longevity Clinic we use a unique style of acupuncture that involves a little known but extremely effective method of point selection mentioned in ancient acupuncture texts.
This style treatment is not taught in acupuncture schools today and remains unknown to most practicioners.
We find results are obtained (using this unique style of treatment) where other medical treatments, including acupuncture, have not been successful. Often pain conditions are relieved within one minute after insertion.

Meet the Physician
Pamela Miller, is a licensed acupuncture physician both in California and Colorado, a Diplomate of Homeopathy, a Qualified Medical Examiner and she has a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine.

What do we treat?
We treat almost everything. All illness are a symptom of lack of flow withing the organ systems. Acupuncture increases the circulation of energetic flow and blood circulation to heal.
Symptoms are alleviated AND the body is in a healthier, more balanced state after a series of acupucture treatments.
Problems of infertility, workers compensation injury, asthma, gall stones, allergies, and other internal conditions are treated.
Emotional situations such as grief, depression, anxiety, anger have a physical presence in the body and can be eased.
All conditions involving pain such as back pain, ankle sprained, migraines, achilles heel, etc. are effectively treated with this style of acupuncture.

How Does Acupuncture Work?
Acupuncture points have been found to have a unique physiological structure. They contain many more cells as well as different types of cell in high concentration.
Stimulation of an acupuncture site by insertion initially stimulates the circulatory system, lymphatic system and the nervous system.
Afferent nerves of the sympathetic nervous system excite electrical impulses to travel to the dorsal horn of the spinal column, proceed through the dorsal loop to the ventral side of the spinal cord.
Impulses then travel up the spinal cord to the brain. Some impulses go up to the cerebellum allowing you to experience tactile sensations. The midbrain and the brain stem are also stimulated.
The hypothalamus-pituitary gland stimulates the release of various neurotransmitters, enkephalins, endorphins, bradykinin and serotonin. This produces a feeling of well being, relaxation, relief for depression, strengthens the immune response and balances circulation.
The receptor sites along the spine are now occupied. The imulses of pain cannot communicate to the brain when this happens and pain is alleviated.

What does my MD think of Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is recommended by medical doctors more than any other form of complimentary medicine.
Generally, it makes western medicine work more effectively so less of a dosage is needed. In certain conditions, such as thyroid conditions or diabetes, it is important to have your medication doses regulated more frequently because of your increasing health.
Acupuncture may help some patients avoid surgery. But if you have surgery, acupuncture is an effective treatment to alleviate the pain after surgery. It also increases the body's ability to heal more quickly by stimulating the production of RBC, WBC, and by increasing circulation and reducing inflammation.
